THE FIRST VOCATIONAL CENTER FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES IN THAILAND

We’re a passionate team of specialists, therapists and trainees. We run vocational training centres and coffee shops in Bangkok and Phuket for young adults (some who have learning differences), to gain the skills they need to access a fulfilling career. Our therapists work in the wider community to support children and young adults. Our ultimate aim is to help all people lead purposeful, dignified lives.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

There are more than 2 million people with disabilities registered in Thailand. Fewer than 25% of them are employed. We are a passionate team of trainers and therapists dedicated to changing this.

Our mission to transform this situation began in 2016 with Max Simpson, an international school teacher, and Uang Hokrakitya, a pastry chef. United by a passion to ensure everyone – regardless of their differences – is able to access a dignified, fulfilling career, they set up Steps With Theera, a vocational training centre with a coffee shop attached where trainees could serve and apply their new-found work skills.
